This was the second car pizza on our pizza crawl, so we did not stick around in the dining area, but the to-go process was very easy and the vibes were pretty relaxed. We got a half tray of white, and while white pizza is not my favorite, I actually really enjoyed this. There is subtle flavoring with herbs on top that complemented the creamy nature. It worked as a nice palate cleanser between wing trials.
I'm originally from here and lived in the Philly area for approx 20 years. The pizza there sucks. Every place people recommend as good is round bland garbage or has the sauce on top of the cheese. Now, the only time I order pizza is when I visit NEPA. Arcaro's has been in my top 3 since I was a kid. Not sure why the Philly area can't make a good pizza. Also, I've had better cheesesteaks in NEPA. Go figure!

Found myself back in Scranton for a family affair. There were about ten of us who were hankering for some pizza. Enter Arcaro's. Gave them a call, ordered three squares - plain, peperoni and onion. The combo of that sauce and cheese with whatever secret dough recipe they have is a winner! Was ready in about 20mins, picked up without any issue. Great experience.
I grew up with this pizza, I chase it through Philly and jersey- nothing comes CLOSE! I can't count the events I've spent here. My high school graduation, my nephew's first pizza, where we took my Gramp after we planned my Gram's funeral... it's seen me through everything. It's the homegrown atmosphere, The crispy crust, the American cheese, omg. It's the best, most sinful thing I crave.
